Hot Water Boiler

A hot water boiler is a pressure vessel operating as a closed system, with water as the heat-absorbing fluid on one side of its surfaces and, on the other, the furnace and the fire and flue tubes through which the combustion gases travel, producing hot water below 100 °C — the saturated steam temperature at atmospheric pressure. The pressure in this vessel comes mainly from the initial water supply, from the booster set or the mains. The pressure created by the heating of the water is negligible. For that reason, any tear or crack forming in the shell or furnace does not cause damage in the boiler house.
